This Revolution Trains N Gauge pack represents the British Alcan PCA alumina tank wagons used on traffic between North Blyth and Fort William.
This pack is finished in Alvance condition, without ladders, and includes four uniquely numbered wagons: 55538, 55543, 55559, 55568.
Prototype Background
The prototype PCA powder tanks were built by Powell Duffryn in 1988 for alumina traffic to the aluminium smelter at Fort William. The Alvance livery represents the fleet's current identity, taking its name from Alvance British Aluminium, the GFG Alliance brand that has operated the Lochaber smelter since the 2016 sale by Rio Tinto - making it the most contemporary option for modelling today's West Highland alumina traffic.
