Perfect for accompanying your rakes of freight wagons, this brake van is an intricate and authentic model of a LNER Dia.035 Toad E. Featuring crisp wooden panel detail, separate underframe and roof fixings, and detailed underframe, this extremely useful van is undoubtedly a must have for your freight train operations.
TT6080 is depicted in the recognisable LNER bauxite with ‘NE’ lettering and numbered 178595.

History:
The ‘Toad B’ brake van was introduced by the LNER in 1928 and was based on an earlier North Eastern Railway design with its distinctive boarded side duckets (guard’s look-outs). A total of 260 were built at Doncaster and by BR days could be found all over the former LNER network, though they were soon phased out in favour of more modern versions during the early 1950s.
