Description
Hornby's highly detailed TT:120 English Electric Class 37 returns for a further run. With a weighty diecast chassis, working lights, smooth 5-pole twin-flywheel drive and a tooling suite that captures the different Class 37 sub-classes, the 'Tractor' is a must for any TT:120 diesel-era layout. Length approx. 155mm.
Released to traffic as D6967 in February 1965, this locomotive was first allocated to Tinsley in Sheffield and became 37267 under TOPS in 1974 while at Stratford. After china clay duties from Plymouth Laira it was rebuilt in 1985 as a Class 37/4 with a Brush alternator and electric train supply, becoming 37421. It passed to Transrail and later EWS, was stored in 2005 and saved for preservation, before Colas Rail bought it in 2013 and returned it to the main line.
