Description
The BR Mk1 family includes some of the most successful coach designs in railway history, built in their thousands and lasting from the early 1950s to the present day. In the late 1950s and early 60s they ran behind everything from A3s, A4s and Black 5s to Class 31s and 47s. Length approx. 166mm.
The Composite Corridor (CK) offered both first and second class compartments in one coach.
Before open coaches became commonplace, most coaches were side-corridor stock, giving passengers a degree of privacy and comfort in individual compartments.
