Description

A further run of Hornby's detailed TT:120 Mk2E coaches, this time in the InterCity Executive livery of the 1980s. The Mk2E and Mk2F were the final Mk2 developments, built for the longest-distance services and regarded as some of BR's most comfortable coaches at speed. They suit the TT:120 Class 37, 47 and 50, and ran in mixed rakes with blue & grey Mk2s. Length approx. 168mm.

The First Open was laid out like the TSO but with roomier 2+1 seating. Air conditioning meant no opening windows, heat came from electric heaters, and the coaches had cream folding gangway doors and vestibule ends.

This version: TT4119 depicts First Open No. M3230 in BR InterCity Executive livery, Era 8.

Never had shopped before with Rainbow Railways (on-line), but they had the product I wanted, which I found with them through Google. Quick shipping and incredibly well packed (took a bit of time to unpack). As I ordered twice within a few hours, on request they refunded me postage of one order without a problem. Left item in basket for a couple of days before I could actually place and pay for order. Thought I was being scammed as I had entered my credit card and Paypal details on the order.
