This example is offered in good preowned condition and was tested on 8 October 2026, when it was confirmed to run OK.
IMPORTANT: The original factory-fitted LokSound decoder has been removed. The locomotive is now DCC Ready and is NOT sound fitted. No working lights were observed during testing.

About the British Rail Class 24
The British Rail Class 24, also known as the Sulzer Type 2, was introduced in 1958 and became a familiar sight on passenger, freight and mixed-traffic duties.
A total of 151 locomotives were built, with the class operating across several regions of British Rail.
The classic BR Two-Tone Green livery makes D5038 particularly suitable for layouts representing the early diesel era of the 1960s.
