About the Class 33
The British Rail Class 33, commonly known as the Crompton, was introduced in 1960 and built by Birmingham Railway Carriage & Wagon Company.
These diesel-electric locomotives became a familiar sight across the Southern Region, working passenger and freight services for several decades.
The Class 33/0 was the standard variant, making it a popular choice for layouts depicting British Rail operations from the 1960s onwards.
Packaging Note
The locomotive is supplied with its Gaugemaster Collection packaging. The box shows some storage marks and shelf wear, particularly the outer Gaugemaster Collection sleeve, which is noticeably marked.
