Description
46464 'THE CARMYLLIE PILOT CO LTD' - OO Gauge
The Carmyllie Pilot Company Ltd – Etched Headboard Nameplates (Pair)
Produced to represent the distinctive “The Carmyllie Pilot Company Ltd” ownership plates carried by preserved LMS Ivatt Class 2MT No. 46464 “The Carmyllie Pilot”, these finely detailed etched plates capture the unique curved profile and red background finish of the prototype. Ideal for detailing projects, preservation-era models, or adding a unique finishing touch to your locomotive fleet.
No. 46464 earned the nickname “The Carmyllie Pilot” through its work around Arbroath and the Carmyllie branch line, with the locomotive later becoming the centrepiece of the preservation group that bears its name. The real locomotive returned to steam after a lengthy restoration and remains a well-known Scottish preservation engine. ([Preserved British Steam Locomotives][1])
These plates make the perfect companion to the new Bachmann Branchline OO gauge Ivatt 2MT / 46464 model, allowing modellers to recreate the preserved locomotive in its current ownership era and add an extra layer of authenticity and individuality to their model.
Features:
• Pair of etched plates supplied
• Correct curved profile with raised lettering detail
• Finished in red with silver edging and lettering
• Suitable for OO gauge applications
• Ideal upgrade for the Bachmann Ivatt 2MT / preserved 46464 projects
