The locomotive has been tested and confirmed to run well, with all lights functioning.
The illuminated headcode panel operates in the direction of travel only.
Additional detailing has been fitted to the locomotive, and coupling hooks are supplied.
Important condition note: Two cab steps are missing from their fitted positions on the locomotive. Both steps are included separately in grip-seal bags and will require refitting by the purchaser.
About the Class 23 Baby Deltic
The British Rail Class 23, nicknamed the Baby Deltic, consisted of ten diesel-electric locomotives built by English Electric in 1959.
These distinctive locomotives were principally associated with the Eastern Region, including services from London King's Cross, before being withdrawn during the early 1970s.
