About the British Rail Class 31
The British Rail Class 31, originally known as the Brush Type 2, was introduced in the late 1950s and became a familiar sight across Britain's railway network.
Built by Brush Traction, these diesel-electric locomotives worked a wide variety of passenger and freight services.
Following their withdrawal from regular British Rail duties, several Class 31 locomotives found further use on infrastructure, engineering and test trains.
The distinctive Network Rail yellow livery makes this model particularly suitable for OO Gauge layouts depicting railway engineering operations, infrastructure trains and modern diesel depots.
Detailing and Packaging
A detailing pack is included with this locomotive.
The model is supplied in an older-style Hornby box, which shows some shelf wear associated with previous handling and storage.
