Description
Hornby's highly detailed TT:120 English Electric Class 37 returns for a further run. Length approx. 155mm.
Known as English Electric Type 3s before TOPS, the Class 37s were built for both passenger and freight work. D6865 entered service in August 1963 at Landore, Swansea, in BR green with small yellow warning panels. It moved to York in 1966, lost its steam heating boiler when air brakes were fitted in 1969 and was repainted blue with full yellow ends that summer. Later renumbered 37165 and then 37374, it was condemned in 2008 after almost 45 years' service.
