Description
A newly tooled addition to Hornby's TT:120 Mk1 range: the Tourist Second Open. Thousands were built in the 1950s and 60s, making the TSO one of the most common coaches on the network behind steam, diesel and electric traction, and the new model sits neatly alongside your existing Mk1 rakes. Length approx. 166mm.
The TSO seats passengers 2+2 either side of a central aisle, and from 1987 became the Tourist Standard Open when Second Class was renamed Standard. As coaches were repainted into BR corporate blue & grey, mixed rakes of blue/grey and maroon stock were a common sight.
This version: TT4097B depicts No. W4939 in BR Blue & Grey with Western Region prefix, Era 6 & 7.
