Description
A further run of Hornby's detailed TT:120 Mk2E coaches, this time in the InterCity Executive livery of the 1980s. The Mk2E and Mk2F were the final Mk2 developments, built for the longest-distance services and regarded as some of BR's most comfortable coaches at speed. They suit the TT:120 Class 37, 47 and 50, and ran in mixed rakes with blue & grey Mk2s. Length approx. 168mm.
The Tourist Second Open (Tourist Standard Open from 1987) had 2+2 seating either side of a central aisle and a combined pressure ventilation and air conditioning system, inside the semi-integral body that made the Mk2 stronger than the Mk1.
This version: TT4118 depicts Tourist Second Open No. M5801 in BR InterCity Executive livery, Era 8.
